The Mason Room is one of two rooms honouring the esteemed Dunedin-based architects, Mason & Wales, who were entrusted in 1876 with the noble task of designing a villa befitting a gentleman of stature, Horatio Nelson Firth. Their vision and craftsmanship laid the foundation for a residence of timeless elegance, capturing the essence of refined living in an era where grace and grandeur were paramount.
