The Malaghan Room, located on the ground floor of Hulbert House, is a serene sanctuary of Blue and white elegance, accented with touches of gold and slate grey. This thoughtfully designed space features an accessible en-suite bathroom and a comfortable daybed, perfectly positioned to capture the tranquil views of Skyline Hill. Ideal for guests requiring accessible accommodations, the Malaghan Room offers a seamless blend of comfort and style.
This room pays homage to Michael John Malaghan, to whom the land beneath Hulbert House was granted in 1871. Malaghan, the proprietor of the Prince of Wales (Mountaineer) Hotel, later became Mayor of Queenstown. In 1874, he completed the construction of a modest timber cottage, marking the beginning of the story of Hulbert House.
